Job Description
Job Title: Communications Coordinator
Department: Marketing
Reports To: Corporate Communications Lead
FLSA Status: Exempt
SUMMARY
This position works collaboratively with the Corporate Communications Lead (CCL) and the management team to develop and implement communication strategies which best represent MMG's interests and overall messaging. Facilitates the creation and refinement of corporate communications and marketing materials, for both internal and external audiences. Responsible for oversight of MMG's social and web pages. Creativity, an ability to juggle multiple projects and maintain organization, enthusiasm to learn, and a careful eye for editing are essential skills to succeed in this role.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Manages the creation and refinement of Marketing & Communications materials. Initiates projects in-house or with outside vendor, reviews, edits, and proofreads final documents, brochures, advertisements, and other materials as assigned.
  • Leads the development and execution of MMG's social media strategy and social media campaigns. Assists in monitoring and replying to comments and messages on social profiles and creating posts for each channel, as needed. Compiles and reports on social media analytics.
  • Creates and distributes global address book emails (GABs) to agency partners and policyholders as directed.
  • Assists with the management of the MMG brand and how it is represented both internally and externally.
  • Helps administer and grow MMG's corporate community giving program.
  • Cultivates photo resource library to bolster MMG brand and MMG archives. Includes coordinating with professional photographers as needed.
  • Facilitates public website content updates.
  • Catalogs digital and printed MMG Marketing & Communication materials and coordinates with printing vendor to order additional materials as needed.
  • Manages Marketing & Communications resource updates on MMG's public, agency, & policyholder websites.
  • Collaborates with Loss Control Committee, outside vendors, and CCL to facilitate the creation and refinement of Loss Control articles, newsletters, documents, and videos.
  • Assists with the development and review of MMG's annual report.
  • Assists with the summer internship project and promotion of the MMG Internship.
  • Supports development of talent attraction and retention projects in partnership with People & Engagement & CCL.
  • Creates graphics for use on social media, for Marketing team, and otherwise as directed.
  • Execute marketing strategies and objectives that align with Departmental Action plans.
  • Manages budgets and costs associated with the development of marketing materials.
  • Supports creation and distribution of Marketing projects.
  • Assists with the development & facilitation of special projects.
  • Explores and executes opportunities to add value to the position.
  • Other duties as assigned.

COMPUTER SKILLS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
